Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy EPC company specializing in commercial and industrial solar projects, including rooftop installations and selected ground-mounted systems. The company operates with a lean and entrepreneurial culture, where team members are highly involved in both technical and commercial decision-making and are encouraged to take ownership of projects from early-stage design to commissioning.
Job Summary:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will assist the project and technical teams in preparing cost estimates, supporting tender submissions, and providing technical input for solar PV projects. You will be responsible for preparing BOQs, reviewing electrical designs, conducting site assessments, and supporting installation and commissioning activities. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, hands-on, and eager to grow in the renewable energy and EPC engineering field.
Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
Provide technical support during tendering and bid submission processes.
Conduct site inspections and technical assessments for solar PV installations.
Review electrical drawings and assist in system design, including LV systems, solar PV sizing, and protection schemes.
Support the project execution team during installation and commissioning phases.
Coordinate with suppliers for technical quotations and compliance verification.
Maintain structured cost breakdowns and sizing tools using Excel or similar tools.
Collaborate closely with management and cross-functional teams on technical and commercial decisions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Registered Electrical Engineer is preferred).
Minimum 2 years of experience in cost estimation or quantity take-off.
Experience in solar rooftop, solar PV, or low-voltage electrical projects is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for cost breakdowns, BOQs, and sizing calculations.
Willingness to conduct site visits and interact with contractors and suppliers.
Highly organized, autonomous, and comfortable working in a lean organizational structure.
Strong communication skills and ownership mindset.
For this position, the client’s budget is between 22.000 - 27.000 PHP/ month.
