About the customer:
Our client is part of an international engineering and construction group specializing in geotechnical and ground engineering solutions. The company supports large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects and works closely with regional finance and shared services teams. The role is based in the Philippines and supports local operations while aligning with regional finance standards and controls.
Job Summary:
As a Treasury Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the company’s cash flow, payments, banking activities, and treasury operations. This includes processing payments, monitoring cash positions, supporting forecasts, and ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations.
You will work closely with finance teams, banks, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely payments, accurate cash reporting, and proper treasury control. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong experience in treasury operations, cash management, and banking processes, preferably within a construction or project-based environment.
Responsibilities:
Process and ensure timely and accurate payments (local, foreign, and intercompany invoices)
Handle employee-related payments including payroll, taxes, and reimbursements
Manage daily cash position and monitor cash management reports
Prepare and update weekly cash flow forecasts
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Ensure proper issuance of tax documents (e.g., 2307) and compliance with tax filings (EWT, VAT, etc.)
Process bank guarantees (advance, performance, retention bonds)
Handle issuance and processing of Letters of Credit (LC)
Maintain and update treasury systems/tools (e.g., cash forecast tools, treasury platforms)
Coordinate with banks and internal stakeholders on treasury-related matters
Support treasury-related audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
Record and manage payment vouchers in ERP systems
Perform other finance and treasury-related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in accounting with hands-on treasury experience
Strong understanding of cash management, payments, and banking operations
Experience in handling bank reconciliations and cash forecasting
Familiarity with tax compliance related to payments (e.g., withholding taxes, VAT)
Experience with bank guarantees and Letters of Credit is a strong advantage
Proficient in Excel and accounting systems (ERP preferred)
Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to manage multiple deadlines
Fluent in English with good communication skills
Experience in construction or project-based industry is a strong advantage
For this position, the client’s budget is between 45.000 - 65.000 PHP/ month.
