Our client is an established international construction and engineering group with operations across Southeast Asia, delivering large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects. The company operates in the Philippines through a local partner and maintains close collaboration with shared services teams in finance, HR, and procurement. The project will be based in Makati, Manila, Philippines supporting both local project operations and regional reporting.
Job Summary:
The Senior Quantity Surveyor & Contract Administrator is responsible for managing project costs and contracts end-to-end to ensure projects are delivered within budget, legally compliant, and with optimized financial outcomes. This role covers cost estimation, tendering, contract negotiation, financial monitoring, and risk management, while ensuring effective coordination with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment, and develop cost plans across project lifecycles
Manage tendering processes, including preparation, analysis, negotiation, and evaluation of contracts and bids
Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial progress, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of variances
Handle invoicing, payments, and financial documentation for ongoing and completed works
Identify cost risks and implement value engineering strategies to improve project efficiency and profitability
Liaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers on cost and contract-related matters
Prepare project cost reports, financial summaries, and deviation analysis from estimates
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements
Monitor contract performance, compliance, and address any breaches or disputes
Manage contract renewals, extensions, and close-out processes
Prepare Extension of Time (EOT) submissions including delay analysis and cost justification
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Contract Management in construction industry
Strong experience in infrastructure projects, preferably slope protection and retaining structures
Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, materials, and regulations
Solid knowledge of contract law, procurement, and project management principles
Strong negotiation, analytical, and numerical skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong attention to detail, especially in budgeting and contract documentation
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proactive, resilient under pressure, and strong problem-solving mindset
High integrity, accountability, and collaborative working style
For this position, the client’s budget is between 85,000 - 120,000 PHP /month
