Business development manager (DMC, travel. Hospitality)
Business development manager (DMC, travel. Hospitality)
About us :
Medor is a recruitment firm specialised in tech, finance and sales. Located in Indonesia, we are providing positions in Indonesia and APAC for local and international companies.
About the customer :
Our client is a fast-growing destination management and experience design group operating across Bali and Jakarta, built on the legacy of two established event production companies. Rather than outsourcing execution, the group owns its own production studio — covering styling, décor, entertainment, and event production — giving it full in-house control over every experience it delivers, from executive retreats and incentive travel to milestone celebrations and bespoke cultural journeys
Job Summary:
As part of its continued growth, our client is looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager with direct DMC experience to drive new business, manage client accounts, and expand market presence across Indonesia. The ideal candidate understands the full lifecycle of destination-based events — from lead generation through to execution oversight — and is comfortable owning the commercial relationship from first pitch to signed deal. This is a revenue-driving, deal-closing, market-expanding role for someone who thrives on building pipeline, closing business, and representing a premium brand in a competitive market.
Responsibilities:
Generate and convert new business opportunities
Build and maintain a strong, consistent sales pipeline
Achieve monthly and annual revenue targets
Lead client engagement and relationship management
Translate client briefs into compelling, well-structured proposals
Understand and align on logistics, vendor coordination, and permit requirements
Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth execution
Identify and pursue new market opportunities
Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities
Provide consistent weekly pipeline reporting
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in a Destination Management Company (DMC), mandatory
Strong, proven track record of closing deals and hitting revenue targets
Fluent in English
Strong commercial mindset with a sales-driven approach
Disciplined use of CRM tools for pipeline and reporting
Solid understanding of destination-based event logistics, vendors, and permits
