About the customer:
Our client is part of an international engineering and construction group specializing in geotechnical and ground engineering solutions. The company supports large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects and works closely with regional finance and shared services teams. The role is based in the Philippines and supports local operations while aligning with regional finance standards and controls.
Job Summary:
As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the company’s daily accounting operations, financial and management reporting, and ensuring timely and reliable group closing and reporting. You will oversee key accounting functions including general accounting, cost control, external audits, monthly, quarterly and annual closing, financial reporting, cash management, invoicing and collection, supplier payments, and cash forecasting.
The role requires strong financial oversight and attention to accuracy and timeliness, while ensuring that financial information is properly reconciled with group reporting requirements. You will also monitor the company’s cash position, manage underbilling, oversee problematic accounts receivable, and support reforecasting and budgeting activities.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including general accounting, accounting processes, cost control, and financial controls.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes and ensure timely group closing and reporting.
Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports, including reports required for group reporting and internal financial management systems.
Manage balance sheet reconciliation with group reporting and ensure accurate financial records.
Prepare and monitor overhead reports, including comparisons for reforecasting and budgeting.
Ensure timely monthly financial closing for projects.
Monitor and maintain a healthy cash position through effective cash management and cash forecasting.
Oversee underbilling, invoicing, collections, and supplier payments.
Monitor accounts receivable and take appropriate remedial action for problematic accounts.
Ensure compliance with company QHSE requirements, maintain required records, report incidents or non-conformances, and contribute to continuous improvement of the Management System.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, cost control, or financial planning and analysis.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial controls.
Proven experience managing general accounting and overseeing cost control activities.
Strong experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and group reporting.
Experience handling external audits and coordinating with auditors.
Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, overhead reporting, budgeting, and financial reforecasting.
Strong experience in cash management, cash forecasting, invoicing, collection, and accounts receivable management.
Experience overseeing supplier payments and maintaining a healthy cash position.
Experience in construction, engineering, or other project-based industries is preferred.
Experience working with international companies or regional/group reporting structures is an advantage.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Able to work independently in a fast-paced and developing environment.
Comfortable working with multicultural teams and international reporting lines.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Willing to work full-time on-site (Work From Office).
For this position, the client’s budget is between 90.000 - 110.000 PHP/ month.
