Our client is an international IT consulting company specializing in the implementation, maintenance, and hosting of Odoo ERP solutions. Established in 2015, the company has expanded across multiple regions and currently serves more than 400 active clients globally.
As the company continues to grow its presence in Japan, they are strengthening their delivery capabilities to support an expanding client base and increasingly complex projects.
This is a key leadership position within the Japan team, working closely with clients, ERP consultants, sales, and the global organization.
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Delivery Manager to take ownership of end-to-end project delivery and the performance of the consulting team in Japan.
You will oversee multiple Odoo ERP projects from kick-off through go-live and post-go-live stabilization, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of client satisfaction.
The role combines project management, team leadership, client relationship management, and operational/financial oversight. You will also act as a key bridge between clients, consultants, sales, and the global management team.
Responsibilities
Project & Delivery Management
Own the successful delivery of multiple Odoo ERP projects from kick-off to go-live and post-go-live stabilization.
Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, and budgets.
Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and change requests.
Act as an escalation point for complex project and client situations.
Monitor overall delivery quality and continuously improve project management standards.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and support ERP Consultants and project team members.
Plan resource allocation across multiple projects, including staffing, workload, and priorities.
Monitor team performance, utilization, and billing rates.
Support the onboarding, training, and professional development of consultants.
Build a collaborative and high-performing consulting team.
Client Relationship Management
Act as a trusted delivery partner for clients throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Manage client expectations and maintain strong levels of customer satisfaction.
Participate in key workshops, steering committees, and project governance meetings.
Resolve complex client issues and provide practical solutions.
Contribute to long-term client retention and potential upselling opportunities through strong delivery performance.
Operational & Financial Management
Monitor project margins, costs, and billable utilization.
Ensure accurate project planning, time tracking, and invoicing readiness.
Work closely with Sales and Management to improve delivery profitability and predictability.
Track key delivery KPIs and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
Requirements
Full professional proficiency in Japanese and English; Japanese N1 level or equivalent is required.
Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Senior Consultant within an IT consulting, ERP, or similar environment.
Strong experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Solid understanding of project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and change management.
Previous experience managing, mentoring, or developing consultants or project team members.
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and escalation management abilities.
Strong understanding of project margins, utilization, billing rates, and delivery KPIs.
Highly structured, hands-on, and comfortable taking ownership of complex projects and operational challenges.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across local and international teams.
