The customer is an established consumer-focused business operating in Dili, Timor-Leste. They are focused on expanding their retail presence and strengthening product availability across the local market. Job Summary:

As the Sales Manager, you will lead the on-site sales function in Dili, Timor-Leste, driving market expansion, revenue growth, and strong customer relationships. You will manage the existing customer base while actively developing new business through cold prospecting, leading daily customer visits, and transforming the performance and capability of the field sales team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.

• Manage and grow relationships with the existing customer base, using the company’s centralized Flexnote ERP system.

• Identify, approach, and convert new cold prospects to expand distribution across retail outlets in Dili.

• Conduct daily visits to key customers to promote products, strengthen relationships, and identify sales opportunities.

• Lead, transform, coach, and train the field sales team to improve capability, discipline, and sales performance.

• Set clear performance expectations, track sales activity, and provide ongoing guidance to the sales team.

• Monitor sales performance, forecast sales results, and prepare regular sales reports.

• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, customer feedback, and sales data to identify growth opportunities.

• Identify operational issues and implement improvements to strengthen sales effectiveness.

• Ensure the sales team follows company policies, processes, and performance standards.

• Collaborate with internal departments to align sales activities with overall business objectives.

• Support the use and improvement of Flexnote, CRM tools, and sales reporting systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in sales management and customer relationship management.

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets, developing successful sales strategies, and generating new business through cold prospecting.

• Strong leadership, people-development, and team-management capabilities.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

• Strong ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and business opportunities.

• Experience using ERP, CRM platforms, and sales-management tools; familiarity with Flexnote is an advantage.

• Knowledge of the FMCG industry and the local market is an advantage.

• Indonesian nationality is preferred to support effective day-to-day communication with the team.

• Highly proactive, self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially minded.

• Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia or Melayu and English.

• Willing to work on-site in Dili, Timor-Leste, including daily customer visits.
  

For this position, the client’s budget is IDR 15.000.000 - 18.000.000 per month, plus monthly sales commissions.
