About the customer:
Our client is a Bali-based hospitality and wellness group offering a range of curated experiences, including wellness programmes, retreats, and lifestyle-focused stays. With operations across multiple locations in Bali and plans for further growth, they are looking for a commercially minded relationship-builder to expand their wellness business through retreat leaders, practitioners, and partners worldwide.
Job Summary:
The Wellness Business Development and Partnerships Manager will own the end-to-end commercial acquisition of wellness retreats, groups, stays, and partnerships across the company group. This is a group-wide, cross-property role with responsibility for prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and converting opportunities, while building and maintaining a strong practitioner and B2B partner network.
Reporting directly to the Owner, you will run Wellness Business Development and Partnerships as an independent commercial unit with its own revenue targets, pipeline, and reporting cadence. You will work closely with marketing, property managers, Legal and HR, and other business units to deliver opportunities from lead generation through to conversion and handover.
Responsibilities:
Generate and convert qualified leads for wellness retreats, groups, and stays, managing each opportunity from initial prospecting through to a documented outcome.
Actively prospect retreat leaders, yoga teachers, event organisers, wellness communities, and other relevant partners in Bali and internationally.
Develop and activate B2B partnerships through relevant retreat platforms, professional communities, and industry networks.
Reactivate and nurture relationships with past clients, retreat leaders, and existing partners.
Prepare commercial proposals and pricing in coordination with management, and deliver against quarterly revenue and conversion targets.
Build, vet, and maintain an active network of Bali-based wellness practitioners across healing, yoga, and other wellness experiences.
Ensure active practitioners have signed contracts and valid work permits, escalating any compliance concerns promptly.
Manage the practitioner applicant pipeline from initial assessment through to HR submission, acceptance, or rejection, within agreed turnaround times.
Partner with the marketing team to align campaigns with actual commercial availability, while retaining ownership of commercial acquisition and conversion.
Coordinate with relevant operational teams, property managers, Legal, HR, and other business units to support the delivery of confirmed opportunities.
Provide structured weekly and monthly reports covering pipeline activity, sales closed, partner and practitioner activity, blockers, targets versus actuals, and cross-functional collaboration.
Represent the company’s wellness offering with a warm and professional presence in meetings with clients, practitioners, retreat leaders, and partners.
Requirements:
Excellent spoken and written English is required. Bahasa Indonesia is a strong advantage.
Naturally sales-driven and comfortable prospecting, negotiating, and closing commercial opportunities.
Real, lived experience of the wellness industry in Bali, with a practical understanding of its practitioners, customs, and networks.
An active, credible network of qualified wellness practitioners that can be mobilised quickly.
Comfortable using digital tools such as CRMs, professional social media, sector B2B platforms, and shared reporting tools.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with marketing and operational teams while independently delivering commercial results.
Strong ownership and autonomy, with the judgment to escalate decisions, approvals, resource needs, and blockers through the appropriate channel.
Indonesian national strongly preferred; otherwise, must already hold unrestricted local work authorisation suitable for external representation at partner meetings and industry events.
A charming, warm, and calm communication style that inspires trust and reflects the wellness experience represented by the group.
