Our client is part of an international engineering and construction group specializing in geotechnical and ground engineering solutions. The company supports large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects and works closely with regional finance and shared services teams. The role is based in Indonesia and supports local operations while aligning with regional finance standards and controls.
Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager will oversee the company’s Finance & Accounting activities in Indonesia, including accounting, payroll, taxation, and coordination on legal matters. The role will initially be handled independently, with the opportunity to build a small team of around one to two people.
The position reports to the Indonesia Business Unit Manager and works functionally with the Asia CFO, based in India.
Key responsibilities
Manage the transition of Finance & Accounting activities from the sister company to the Indonesia business.
Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial reporting.
Manage payroll and ensure timely, accurate processing.
Oversee tax compliance and coordinate tax-related matters.
Coordinate legal and corporate compliance matters with relevant internal or external parties.
Support budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial planning.
Establish and improve local finance processes and controls.
Recruit and lead a small Finance & Accounting team as the function grows.
Work with the Indonesia Business Unit Manager and Asia CFO on financial matters and reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience managing Finance & Accounting activities, ideally in an Accounting Manager or similar role.
Knowledge of Indonesian accounting, payroll, and tax requirements.
Experience setting up, improving, or transitioning finance processes is an advantage.
Able to work independently and build a function from an initial standalone role.
Strong communication skills and confidence working with local and regional stakeholders.
Good English communication skills for coordination with the Asia CFO.
Willing to work from the Jakarta office.
For this position, the client's budget is IDR 20,000,000–25,000,000 per month.
